    Where the Services are offered. The Services are currently offered to users in the United States. The Company does not direct or offer the Services to individuals in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK at this time. If an individual from those regions contacts the Company, the inquiry will be reviewed in light of service availability and legal obligations.

    The Company aims to keep its practices transparent and user choices clear.     The Company's mission is to revolutionize the travel industry by offering a Unified Service Platform that seamlessly integrates essential Travel Tools with Social Connections. To achieve this, TripBirdy LLC shows you tailored travel suggestions and ads based on information collected from you and third parties.

    This Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have. The Company has aimed to make these concepts clear and straightforward, even though some details are technical.

    Scope of this Policy

    This is the Company's global Privacy Policy; however, the Services are presently offered to U.S. users. References to non-U.S. regimes are de-scoped until the Company expands availability.

    Information the Company Collects

    1. Information Provided by Users

    • Account Information: Name, email address, birthday, gender, country of residence, travel preferences, and preferred language.
    • Content: Trip content, trip notes, photos uploaded by users, and interactions (for example, favorites).
    • Precise Location (optional): If device permissions are enabled.
    • Support Communications:Contents of messages sent to the Company.
    • Your Contacts: If you choose to sync your contacts with your account, the Company processes certain information about your contacts who are TripBirdy users to help you connect with them on the Services.

    2. Information Collected Automatically

    • Device & Log Information: IP address, browser type, settings, timestamps, and basic usage logs.
    • Cookies & Similar Technologies: The Company uses essential cookies (for example, to keep users signed in, maintain session security, and remember basic preferences). See the Cookie Policy
    • Usage Data and Inferences: The Company uses your activity, such as destinations you search, travel plans you save, or comments you add, along with account information and third-party data to infer your travel preferences. For example, if you search for flights to Japan, TripBirdy LLC may infer you're interested in Asian travel.
    • Approximate Location: Inferred from IP address.
    • User Signals: Actions such as search and save events used to improve the product.

    3. Information from Partners

    • Service Providers: Vendors that host, secure, support, and analyze the Services under contract with the Company.

    Future Features: If the Company later adds features such as OAuth login, third-party integrations, advertising/measurement partners, etc., this Policy will be updated and any required notices/choices will be provided before enablement.

    4. Analytics (PostHog)

    The Company uses PostHog for product analytics, including autocaptured page views and UI interactions. Information collected may include device/browser details, approximate location inferred from IP address, pages viewed, click targets (for example, button text), and feature usage. Events are tagged with the application name and environment (development, staging, or production).

    PostHog uses cookies or local storage to recognize returning browsers. The Services currently rely on continued use as consent for analytics; an in-product opt-out is not yet available. You may use browser settings to limit analytics cookies or contact support@tripbirdy.com to request deletion of analytics data. The Company does not sell or share analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

    How the Company Uses Information

    The Company uses information to:

    • Provide and Secure the Services: Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and prevent fraud/abuse.
    • Improve the Services: Diagnose issues; develop new features; perform quality, safety, and performance testing.
    • Personalize Core Experience: Suggest destinations, travel plans, or travel tips based on activity (for example, searches for Paris hotels) and offsite behavior (for example, visiting a travel agency's website).
    • Communicate with Users: Respond to support requests; send important service notices (account/security).
    • Build Community: Suggest other users with similar travel interests (for example, recommending travel bloggers if walking tours of iconic cities is saved) or help contacts find you through a unique TripBirdy ID or email searches.
    • Research & Model Training: Improve features and quality (including AI systems) using de-identified/aggregated or appropriately governed data, consistent with this Policy and the Company's security controls.
    • Send Updates: Deliver notifications via email, push, SMS, or phone. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails or adjust notification settings.
    • Compliance & Safety: Enforce Terms, protect users and the platform, and comply with the law.

    Advertising: The Company does not use targeted advertising cookies and does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by U.S. state privacy laws. If this changes, the Company will update this Policy, provide required notices, honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals, and offer clear in-product choices.

    Your Rights and Choices

    You have choices to control your data, which may include privacy rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. We are an online-only business; our designated method for privacy requests is email.

    How to Exercise Your Rights (U.S.)

    • Submit a request: Email support@tripbirdy.com from the email address tied to your account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
    • Verification: We verify your identity using your signed-in account or the email associated with your account. We may request limited additional information solely for verification.
    • Response timeline: We respond within 45 days of receiving your request and may extend once by 45 days when reasonably necessary; if extended, we will notify you of the reason and new timeline.
    • Appeals: If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response email with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will review and respond within the time required by applicable law and provide further escalation information if we uphold the denial.

    Targeted Advertising, Selling, or Sharing

    We do not currently sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not use targeted advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate notices and opt-out options (including honoring applicable browser-based opt-out signals).

    EEA, Switzerland, and UK

    Our services are not currently directed to or offered in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK. If you are located in one of those regions and contact us regarding your rights, please email support@tripbirdy.com and we will review your request in light of our service availability and legal obligations.

    Non-Discrimination

    We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Some requests may be limited if fulfilling them would reveal another person’s data, infringe the rights of others, or conflict with legal obligations.

    How and When the Company Shares Information

    • At a User's Direction: When a user exports or shares trip content or connects a chosen feature.
    • With Service Providers: Vendors that process data for hosting, security, analytics, and support—under contracts that limit use to the Company's instructions.
    • For Safety, Legal, and Compliance: To comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, and protect users, the Services, or the Company's rights.
    • Business Transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or similar event, information may transfer as permitted by law.

    The Company does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If advertising or third-party measurement is introduced later, this Policy will be updated and required opt-outs/consents will be provided first.

    International Information Transfers

    The Company is based in the United States. If the Services are accessed from outside the United States, information will be processed in the United States (and other locations where the Company's service providers operate) for the purposes described in this Policy.

    The Company does not currently direct or offer the Services to individuals in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK. If this changes, the Company will update this Policy and describe transfer safeguards at that time.

    How Long the Company Keeps Information

    The Company retains information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, for legitimate business purposes (for example, security and fraud prevention), or to meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, the Company deletes or de-identifies it.

    Children's Information

    The Services are intended for users 18+. Minors under 18 may use the Services only with parental or guardian consent and involvement and must meet any applicable age requirements. Additional information is available in the Help Center.

    Changes to this Policy

    The Company may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here and, for material changes, the Company may provide more prominent notice (for example, email). Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
